Review: Cannary Pouch by Cedar & Finch

Cannabis style isn’t all about tie-dye and hemp textiles.

From art glass pipes to designer bags built to carry supplies, cannabis users are finding it easier than ever to express their personal style aesthetic through products that are as practical as they are attractive.

The Customer

Anna Stepp, who seeks out accessories that are as beautiful as they are useful, found her match in the Cannary Pouch by Cedar & Finch.

Tell us a little bit about how you use cannabis.

I use cannabis for medicinal use only, really. I’ve had insomnia and depression for many years. I didn’t use at all then. I was in the military. PTSD and anxiety (led to) my need for medicinal cannabis.

I’ve tried using doctor prescribed anti-anxiety meds and ended up overdosing on them and/or being totally non-productive. Cannabis helps me stay calm enough and focused enough to work either at my computer or in the house.

I was an RN prior to all this happening and have only been able to work intermittently since then.

What kinds of products do you like? What are you looking for beyond just a stylish design?

Discretion and beauty are the things that draw me to products. I don’t want … someone … to point at me and say, “That’s what a stoner looks like.” I had bought a DimeBag brand container, but didn’t find it fit in with my idea of beautiful and discreet.

I have four pipes — two glass ones by Michael Stanley and my Cedar and Finch pipe. I also have a Michael Stanley dab rig. I love his pipes not only because they are truly beautiful, one-of-a-kind art pieces but the functionality is awesome, great draw with a decent size carb to clear out old smoke. I love the colors, the shapes of his glasswork. I know there are other artists out there just as good, but I’m a bit stuck at the moment. I’ve only smoked for two years, and I tend to stay with what works for me.

What drew you to the Cedar & Finch pouch?

I’ve been looking at different pouches for some time. I tried a DimeBag but I didn’t like the look, although function was great. I happened to see an ad for Cedar and Finch, liked the scrolled bag, and bought it on a whim.

The pipe and the bag are well made and fit into my purse. I love to spend money on good quality products. The price point of the pouch was actually lower than I expected, especially after I received the pouch. The quality is high as is the pipe quality.

I took a big leap of faith with Cedar and Finch and am happy I did. It is my favorite when I’m on the go.

What’s next on your wish list?

I’m looking forward to vacationing in Colorado at some point soon.
