You eat it, drink it, and otherwise ingest parts of the hemp plant, like CBD, but have you thought about smoking it? Well, you can, and on this episode of “The Ellementa Show,” we’ll hear from Mariposa Oxenberg, an advanced-practice Registered Nurse, about her thoughts on the matter.

Mariposa holds a Master of Science in nurse-midwifery and has been a clinical herbalist and nurse for 20 years. She also has a company, Orange Fuzz Hemp, that produces pre-rolled hemp smokes. Learn about the difference between “cannabis” and “hemp,” what smoking hemp can – and can’t – do for you, and what to look for in the hemp you buy to smoke.

Mariposa Oxenberg, an advanced-practice RN, learned firsthand how indispensable cannabis can be to a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy when she helped a close friend through the notoriously difficult treatment. The experience sparked a passion in Oxenberg to standardize the use of cannabis as an adjunct to chemotherapy.

Oxenberg holds a Master of Science in nurse-midwifery, which serves as the foundation of her longtime home birth practice, Birthwell Los Angeles. She has been a clinical herbalist and nurse for 20 years.

A member of the Cannabis Nurses Association of America, Oxenberg was trained as a cannabis nurse consultant from Pacific College the first-ever accredited medical cannabis program for healthcare professionals.
