REVIEW: Green Bee Botanicals – Perfecting Serum and My Skin

This product promises “clean, full-spectrum cannabis skincare for beautiful skin.” Does it live up to that promise? One woman finds out.

As someone who struggles with acne, I am always on the hunt for a moisturizing product that will help combat the acne and help with the healing process while also supporting aging skin. I finally found a product that addresses all three things, Sounds like an impossible find, doesn’t it?

Green Bee Botanicals’ cannabis-infused Perfecting Serum (available in California only) with CBD, vitamins C and E, clary sage, tea tree oil, and other botanicals – plus 5 mg of THC – blended into the soothing light oil base addresses all of my needs.

The Packaging

Green Bee Botanicals Perfecting Serum comes packaged in a little blue box with a label that is simply beautiful. On one side of the box is a description of the product with easy directions on how to use the serum. On another side of the box, all of the ingredients are listed with the scientific name as well as in layman’s term. For example, Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil is the first ingredient followed by Prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil, and so on.

The pump style blue bottle consists one 1 fluid ounce, and a little goes a long way! The serum contains 75 mg of CBD making it a 15:1 ratio of CBD to THC. While the Perfecting Serum is oil-based which could scare off anyone dealing with acne, I found it to be light and soothing to my skin. I never felt like my face was too oily but instead it felt perfectly moisturized.

Instructions

The directions are printed on the box and are easy to understand – clear and concise. An additional slip of paper with the directions is contained inside. As I already mentioned, a little goes a long way. A few drops warmed up in your hand is all you need then gently smooth the Perfecting Serum onto clean skin on your face, neck, and décolletage.

While the directions stated that the serum can be used with, or in place of, your regular moisturizer, I found that I didn’t need to use anything else. The Green Bee Botanicals Perfecting Serum was perfect on its own!

Experience and Effectiveness

My experience with Green Bee Botanical Perfecting Serum was amazing. The smell is pleasant and not at all overpowering. After washing my face, the serum smooths on lightly and easily and absorbs nicely into my skin. I find the antioxidant ingredients of the serum to be soothing.

After applying the Perfecting Serum, my skin felt satiny smooth, hydrated and glowing. With the serum, my acne healed faster, and I now have less breakouts. As an added benefit, when I ran out of my make-up primer, I found that I no longer needed it when using the serum – and it has actually replaced my moisturizer.

Bonus: Not only did I feel a difference since using the Perfecting Serum, friends and family have complimented me on my skin.

I look forward to trying more products from Green Bee Botanicals. I would love for them to produce a light face wash and toner. Rumor has it they have plans to expand their line. I can’t wait!
